THE CHALLENGE
Bayer Crop Science sought to strengthen intrapreneurial capability across global teams participating in the Catalyst program.
The challenge was to shift from theoretical innovation training to hands-on experimentation, enabling teams to test assumptions, validate problem framing, and explore new digital innovation opportunities.
The goal was to build confidence and consistency in applying innovation methods within real business contexts.
THE APPROACH
Hyper Island facilitated the Discover and Explore phases through a coaching-centered model:
- Weekly structured team coaching focused on practice, not presentation
- Cohort-wide sessions to enable shared learning and feedback
- Progressive learning kits introducing tools step-by-step
- Dashboards and templates supporting hypothesis testing
- Use of AI tools to accelerate analysis, insight synthesis, and prototyping
- Gamification to reinforce psychological safety, engagement, and collaboration
The emphasis was on disciplined experimentation and reflection rather than linear project delivery.
