At Hyper Island, we believe that diversity makes us stronger – as individuals, as teams, and as an organization.

We value the unique perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences each person brings, and we work actively to ensure that everyone feels safe, seen, and heard, regardless of origin or identity.

Creating an inclusive environment is part of the Hyper Island way. Our methodology is grounded in psychological safety, openness, trust, and collaboration – all crucial for building high-performing and human-centered teams.

We take concrete steps to live these values in our everyday practices:

  • Inclusive recruitment: We follow an unbiased, competence-based recruitment process and publish job openings through broad channels such as the Swedish Unemployment Office (Arbetsförmedlingen) and similar platforms in the UK to reach a wide and diverse pool of applicants.
  • Representation matters: We ensure that our visual communication reflects the diversity of our team and student community.
  • Support for international staff: We provide extra support during residence permit processes to care for the wellbeing of those going through them.

We also make sure our internal processes enable equitable outcomes:

  • Clear and accessible HR policies for all staff, regardless of location.
  • Fair promotion practices based on performance and skill.

And we continuously invest in inclusive culture-building:

  • Team development sessions that foster open dialogue around belonging.
  • Regular training for leaders and staff on inclusive practices.
  • Clear expectations for respectful and supportive behavior across the organization.
At Hyper Island, inclusion isn’t a one-time initiative – it’s a commitment we live every day.
