Behavioural Design sits at the intersection of psychology, design, technology, and behavioural economics, offering a powerful approach to understanding human behaviour and shaping decision-making.

The Behavioural Design course equips professionals with the tools and mindset to understand human behaviour and influence it ethically. Across four interactive online sessions, you’ll explore how psychology, behavioural economics, and design come together to shape real-world outcomes. Through hands-on activities and simple frameworks, you’ll learn how to identify what drives or blocks certain behaviours, design effective solutions, and apply behavioural insights to your projects, products, or workplace.

This module will introduce you to the foundational principles of behavioral psychology and economics, focusing on how human behavior is influenced by biases, heuristics, and mental shortcuts. 
Behavioural Change Frameworks expand_more expand_less
In this module, we will equip you with actionable frameworks for understanding and driving behavioral change. Using experiential activities and real-world applications, you will map behaviors, identify barriers and enablers, and design interventions that lead to sustainable change.
Designing Behavioural Interventions, Nudging Humans expand_more expand_less

Discover common cognitive biases that drive behaviour and decision-making in both you, as well as your customers and colleagues. You’ll then learn how to integrate this neuroscience knowledge to prototype more effective behavioural change interventions through nudging tecnhiques.

Tim Lucas - Facilitator of the course

Tim works globally as an entrepreneur, consultant, researcher, and lecturer. With a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Sheffield (UK), and as Business Leader and Head of Content at Hyper Island, he has led various global innovation and transformation programs for clients such as Itau, Kimberly-Clark, Beiersdorf, Unilever, and Amex, among many others. Tim is also an international speaker and learning designer in fields such as Behavioural Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Thought Networks, UX, and Design Thinking. He regularly speaks at global events on topics like youth culture, digital and social media, and consumer behavior. Additionally, he writes and presents insights about the Brazilian consumer market for both local and international audiences. He is currently a Professor at FAAP in São Paulo, teaching in the postgraduate program on consumer behavior and digital media.

Carolina holds a degree in Product Design from UFRGS, a master's in Behavioural Design also from UFRGS, and a postgraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from PUCRS. She works as a consultant in the fields of product, graphic, service, and UX design, consumer behavior research, trend forecasting, branding, and strategic planning. She is currently the Design & Research Manager at Nubank.

Our online courses consist of weekly live sessions and some independent work in between to help reinforce your learning and connect with instructors and peers.

Do I need to attend live sessions? add remove
We strongly recommend it! The live sessions are where you’ll engage in discussions, ask questions, and apply what you’ve learned. Recordings are available if you can’t make it.
How much time should I set aside each week? add remove

Plan for 3–5 hours per week, including one live session, readings, and hands-on exercises. You’ll find the exact schedule in the course syllabus.

What platforms or tools do you use? add remove

We use Google Meet for our live sessions and provide all course materials via email or a shared learning space.

Will I get a certificate? add remove

Yes! You'll receive a certificate within 1-2 weeks of completion if you participate in the live sessions and complete all required coursework.

Are your courses Swedish government funded? add remove

No, our short courses are not government funded or CSN-approved. They’re offered independently and are not part of Sweden’s state-subsidized education system. However, many participants have their fees covered by their employers, and we can provide an invoice or supporting documentation to make that process easier.
