Fifteen interactive online sessions and four physical events in Stockholm, Karlskrona, and Copenhagen. This fall, Hyper Island offers knowledge, inspiration, and a context for everyone finding it challenging to navigate in an uncertain world.
“Many of us carry a feeling of uncertainty or face a crossroads in our career or life at large. In Between is a global initiative aimed at creating engagement and added value for the Hyper Island community, consisting of students, alumni, collaborators, employees, and customers, totalling around 15,000 people worldwide – but also for anyone interested. The sessions are open, and everyone is welcome to participate,” says Pernilla Hallberg, Community Director at Hyper Island.
With sessions on topics such as career, technology, design, learning, leadership, and collaboration, Hyper Island wants to provide tools to navigate an uncertain world and find inspiration while contributing to continuous learning and development. The interest in the lectures, ongoing between October 10 and November 23, has been substantial.
“I am both proud and overwhelmed by the significant interest in In Between. It shows a need for engaging in conversations, learning from and with each other, and finding inspiration and a sense of belonging in a world where most things are ‘In Between’. I’m also proud that we have so many fantastic and knowledgeable people within our community who are helping to create In Between,” says Pernilla Hallberg.
The content has been developed together with Hyper Island’s former students, employees, and partners, and many of the lecturers come from Hyper Island’s own community, providing a wide range of lectures. “Life Design” and “Where Ethics Meets Innovation” are two of the titles. The most popular so far has been the lecture “Boosting Creativity with AI”.
“It was not unexpected, but it really shows that people are seeking more knowledge on how to benefit from AI. Also the sessions focused on personal development are very popular,” says Pernilla Hallberg.
In a rapidly changing world and work life, individuals and organisations need to quickly adapt and learn new things. Hyper Island prepares people and organisations for the future, using a well-established methodology based on experiential learning.
“We all must learn to navigate the unknown. By co-creating with our community, we learn from each other what it means to be ‘In Between’. We are curious about how we can collectively develop human skills such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, creativity, resilience, and collaboration,” says Heidi Rundt, global CEO at Hyper Island.
The fall’s In Between initiative concludes on November 23 with physical events in Stockholm, Karlskrona, and Copenhagen – also open to everyone interested.
