Do you want to study Hyper Island’s full-time programs?

In order to best help and support you, we want to get to know you and understand what you want to achieve in the future. The more you tell us, the better we can help guide you towards reaching your goals.

Check out the video to learn more about the international admissions.

The Admissions Process

The process in applying to Hyper Island is simple and involves two main steps: the first step is to submit your application via our website and secondly to join a Digital Admissions Day (DAD).

In order to join a DAD you need to meet with a member of the team, where we answer all your questions, prepare you for the upcoming DAD and book you in for a session. Email us to learn more.

Attending an Admissions Day is a mandatory step for all applicants to the full-time programs in Sweden. International applicants go through the process online.

The Admissions Days (both online and onsite) involves meeting other applicants from all over the world, which is a fun part of the Admissions process!

  • Who qualifies as international applicant?

International applicants apply from all over the world. Many of our applicants apply from outside the EU, which means they need a residence permit to start their studies at Hyper Island, should they be admitted. We prepare all our applicants ahead of this with the information that they need, in order to apply for the permit. This application is done in Spring. However, all applicants are strongly recommended to start the application process to our full-time programs as soon as possible in the fall, as seats fill up quickly.

For those wondering whether they can apply for a Swedish government-funded YH seat or not, please check the following information regarding the criteria. You must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Finland, or related territories.
  • Have permanent residence in one of the mentioned countries.
  • Hold temporary residence in Sweden for the program’s entire duration (not study or work-dependent). Proof of residence may be required before the program starts.

And you must also meet the following requirement:

  • Have basic knowledge of the Swedish language or other Scandinavian languages.
  • Proof of language proficiency may be required.

If you do meet these criteria, please see the admissions process for the Swedish government-funded seats here.

Otherwise, you’re very welcome to apply as an international fee-paying applicant. We will support you throughout the whole process! You will find the international application here.
