Training SMEs for the Digital Decade

The SME4DD (Training SMEs for the Digital Decade) project is dedicated to closing Europe’s advanced digital skills gap by empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with critical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Cybersecurity. By addressing the upskilling needs of businesses, SME4DD fosters innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable growth across Europe. The project focuses on designing short-term training programmes tailored to the needs of SMEs, with the goal of equipping participants to design, develop, and deploy digital solutions.

Led by EIT Digital, the SME4DD consortium comprises leading business associations and training providers from across Europe, each contributing their expertise in training, technology, and ecosystem building. Deliverables include reports on upskilling needs, training programme results, and the design of an executive programme. The project outputs will be scaled across Europe, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact.
